I am Arturo Chian, Chief Executive Officer of BEST - Behavioral Economics & Data

Science Team, a non profit organization located in Peru with interest in social projects
in Data Science, Open Science & Behavioral Economics. Today, we have more than
20 volunteers in our 3 communities: Manos a la Data, Open Science Perú, A
Empujoncitos Perú.

I have known Jhon for over two years as he completed Manos a la Data and
Introduction to Open Science workshops and then he has continued as a volunteer in
both communities in BEST working on several projects in Data Science and Open
Science related to the intersection of macroeconomics and finance.

Jhon has an innate talent for improving and working innovative projects such as
BCRPR, an innovative project for downloading, working and modelling with BCRP
data.

It is not just his technical skills, he has shown strong skills to communicate, problem
solving and curiosity to learn about economics, financial and data problems.
