On Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at approximately 4:24 p.m., Officers responded to the area of East Main and
Brick Row on a report that a male was bleeding from his head and neck. Police responded and located a
male victim who was identified as Jose Rosalio Hernandez, age 20 of Ottumwa.

At approximately 4:27 p.m., the police department responded to the Ottumwa Regional Health Center
Emergency Room on a report that a male entered the hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg. This male
was identified as Anibar Timothy, age 18 of Ottumwa.

Subsequent investigation identified that an altercation took place inside Foster Park on the East End of
Ottumwa, between two groups of individuals. The injuries sustained to Timothy and Hernandez was a
result of this altercation. Both individuals sustained non-life threatening injuries and were treated and
released from the hospital.

No arrests have been made at this time. If you have information regarding this incident you are requested
