DROPSHIPPING
thanks for downloading this
free guide! let's get started :)
WHAT IS
Dropshipping is a business model where you essentially place an
order for a product, that is $5, and you are selling to your customers
IT?
for $15. Instead of the traditional way of fulfilling orders from your
own store/warehouse, you send your customer the product directly
from the website that sells it for $5. Therefore, you keep the $10
profit. Dropshipping is indeed much more complicated than just
what's on the surface and hopefully today, I can clarify some of those
questions/things!
2.
- Credit card (optional for starters)
Business email:
WHY DO I NEED THOSE THINGS?
You want to be able to communicate with your customers with a professional email so they
know you are a reliable and trustworthy store/business. You can get one off google!
Domain:
PLEASE do not use .myshopify domain, it is so sketch and doesn't seem reliable and
credible at all! I don't ever buy from a website that don't end in a .com so why would your
customers?
Shopify plan:
You can start off with a free plan/trial but I recommend playing around the first 2 weeks
and trying everything out rather than leaving it there and not using milking the free trial.
Business PayPal account:
You are going to NEED a business PayPal account because a lot of customers prefer to
checkout in 1 click and use PayPal. You'd need a business PayPal acct to link to Shopify.
Register your business:
I suggest registering your business if you are SERIOUS about dropshipping because it will
save you a lot of headache going forward. Some examples may be: PayPal will 100% ask
you to verify your business because they don't trust you and if you don't have a EIN/TAX
ID or business address to prove to them they will hold your funds :( Another example,
when you begin running ads on FB, FB will only allow like $10-$50 ad spend per day and in
the testing phase, you are going to want to reach more than just $25 worth of an
audience. Well, if you verify your registered business with FB, they will lift that limitation
on your acct and you can spend how ever much you'd like.
Facebook business page/ads account:
Once you've created your shopify and domain, go make a Facebook page for your store
right away. Facebook trusts a longer existing page over a newer one. Doesn't matter if
you haven't finalized your products/website, go make on!
Separate bank/checkings account:
One mistake I made when I first starting was that, I didn't separate personal and business
expenses. So after 4 months of all these expenses mixed together it was so hard for my
accountant to decipher what was what. I suggest getting a separate checkings account
so that way everything going and in and out of that account related to your business
stays in one place.
Aliexpress account:
Obviously, when you start doing product research you are going to need an Aliexpress
account to speak to suppliers and negotiate prices etc.
Accounting/Quickbooks Account (Optional for starters):
This was also a mistake I made in the beginning, but if you are just starting out it isn't 100%
necessary to make a Quickbooks account. But trust me, if your store is picking up sales, I
would recommend making one just so when it's tax season, everything is in one place for
your accountant.
Business phone number (Optional for starters):
This is something you can add later down the line when you are getting more consistent
sales and you are trying to make your site look more legit by adding a phone number that
people can actually call. Totally optional!
Credit card (Optional for starters):
I got a new credit card when I started dropshipping because I knew that FB ads and
inventory costs were going to come in but my funds may be held up in PayPal or shopify
hasn't released my payouts yet. When I did get paid, I would pay off the credit card. This is
100% optional and not financial advice. Up to yall!
3. I DID ALL OF THAT.. NOW WHAT?
@ecombicko
After you have majority of the above set up, you can begin looking for
products you are going to sell.
1st step: FIND A NICHE! (fitness, beauty, fashion, gardening, pets, home
goods)
2nd step: Go on sites like Aliexpress and go digging. This is the most time
consuming and tedious part of looking for a "winning" product but it has to
be done. Don't settle for products that are on the first page but go through
them all. Look at the reviews. Look at the seller's response time or logistics
reliability. Do your due diligence before you settle on a product.
** FUN FACT**: you should always order your potential product to your
house as a sample and test the product out yourself. How is the packaging?
How fast was delivery? Is the product usable? High Quality?
3rd Step: Hop on Canva or any online graphic designing website and make a
SIMPLE logo. Don't start paying $100 for a logo on a store/product that
may or may not work out. Make sure your logos are updated throughout all
your social medias, your email accounts, your shopify checkout page.
4th step: Now start importing pictures and reviews into Shopify/whatever
platform you are using to sell. Download shopify apps like "LOOX" or
"Judge.Me" to import reviews from Aliexpress into your shopify store. That
way, when your customers are browsing your website, there is "social proof".
Even though they are technically not YOUR customers' reviews, they will still
be reviewing the same product you are selling. As you build your store and
gain more customers you can set up on the backend, email marketing, to
allow YOUR actual customers to leave reviews.
5th step: How are you going to market your product/store?
- You can run FB ads
- you can run Google ads
- You can work with Instagram influencers
- You can run TikTok ads
6th step: Initiate your marketing campaigns. Work on your website and make
sure it's not too sketchy looking. Include the following:
- Returns/Exchanges Policy page
- Shipping Policy page
- Contact Us page
- Track Your Order page (Integrate a Shopify app like "Aftership")
7th step: Launch your store and monitor your marketing campaigns. Never
stop learning because technology is constantly changing. You can learn a lot
about Facebook ads on YouTube, I watched a lot of VerumEcom. You can
also learn a lot through FB Dropshipping Groups, I am a member of the
4.
VerumEcom group.

BOOK CALL NO W
person you see doing dropshipping. But, it will provide a more 1-1
experience with me and you get to ask me more specific/catered to
your brand questions. That is also why I would have to charge a flat
fee because it's more work for me as well than generally giving tips
on TikTok. Hope everyone understands the reasoning behind this! :)
