Nowadays since the rise of social media is becoming more and more popular and still

continuously rising many people have been discontented with the truth that they get with it.
specially here in our country for Fake news and Internet trolling has been part of governmental
propaganda here in the Philippines. That is why many Filipinos specially Millennials and Gen z
for they spend more time in using these social media platforms are having trust issues about the
validity of Information they received on the internet. This gives rise to the many fact checking
pages, websites, and organization to check the validity of each information found on the internet.
Yet this is still not enough for those who are sitting in the position are also deliberately doing
their best to move this people away from the truth. That is why this fact checking companies,
pages, and websites are asking for the help of these Millennials and Gen z to help them remove
this discontentment with the truth. Must we accept/reject the deterministic human nature of
media to society, or accept/reject the voluntaristic (autonomous) human nature of society toward
media? Well for me I guess that with this happening to our society I must reject the first one and
accept the second one
