It is my sincere pleasure to write this letter recommending Spencer Price for an

elementary teaching position.

Ms. Price completed MSU’s field-based teacher preparation program during the
2021-2022 school year. During her year-long internship, I served as her field
placement supervisor. In addition to field observations, I also taught her in the
accompanying bi-weekly internship seminar where she displayed her thoughtfulness
and commitment to her development as a beginning teacher.

Because of her participation in our intern residency program, she was able to gain
experience as a guest teacher during the internship year. She also co-organized an
after school book club program with fellow interns to promote literacy for third
graders at her placement school. She has also shown her ability to plan lessons and
activities that are engaging and support student learning. Ms. Price’s enthusiasm for
teaching and learning is evident in her interactions with students and faculty. Her
ability to motivate students and employ various teaching strategies encourages
students to make connections in their learning. In short, Ms. Price is an excellent
candidate for a teaching position.
