It is my pleasure to write this recommendation on behalf of Ms. Spencer Price. I

served as her Science Methods Instructor during her internship year at Michigan
State University. Ms. Price showed an outstanding ability for teaching, adjusting the
educational material to meet the needs of her students. She was creative in her
teaching of the science content and developed lessons that encouraged her students
to use higher-level thinking skills.

Ms. Price worked to continually refine her teaching skill. She was able to create
lessons that allowed her third-grade students to experience and connect with the
science phenomena. These lessons allowed her to meet the needs of her students,
building their funds of knowledge for science. Ms. Price adapted lab experiences that
allowed students to work cooperatively, using hands-on materials, keeping her
students cognitively engaged.

Ms. Price appeared to work well with her MSU teaching colleagues and was a
positive role model for her students. She contributed supportively in many ways to
our class discussions and activities. Ms. Price was very reflective of her teaching
practice and sought out feedback to inform her teaching and implemented strategies
quickly to best help her students.

I highly recommend Ms. Price as a future educator. She will be a valuable member
of any educational faculty. I wish her continued success in this chosen field. Please
