1. Definition of History
- is a term that relates to past events as well as the memory, discovery, collection,
organization, presentation, and interpretation of information about these events
2. Give five reasons why history is still important to be studied in the 21 st century.
- To understand current events
- Define Identity
- To understand different cultures
- To understand change
- To prevent ignorance.

3. What are primary and secondary sources of history? Give examples in each of them.
- Primary Sources are immediate, first-hand accounts of a topic, from people who had a
direct connection with it. It includes: Texts of laws and other original documents.
Newspaper reports, by reporters who witnessed an event or who quote people who did.
- Secondary source of information is one that was created later by someone who did not
experience first-hand or participate in the events or conditions you're researching. For the
purposes of a historical research project, secondary sources are generally scholarly books
and articles.
