ACCEPTANCE OF CHALLENGE

A pleasant morning to each and everyone. To our District Supervisors, to our School Heads and of course my fellow
teachers.

As we move towards the ending of the school year 2021-2022, teachers are too preoccupied with school forms
and other paper works that additional tasks may seem very unwelcome. Time management has always been very
crucial hence the announcement of the CBEA 3-day training elicited reactions such as “Seminar talaga sa
kasagsagan ng trabaho ng teachers?”

But as we went through each day, we got to appreciate the learnings we gained from the lecturers whose expertise
has definitely paved the way to the realization that every challenge — every difficulty — contains within it the seeds
of opportunity and growth.

And just as what our District Supervisors has set before us,
… the challenge to adapt and embrace the constant changes that comes along our way
… the challenge to come out of our comfort zones to help our learners more
… the challenge to do more than what we think we can

With that, I am proud and humbled to accept these challenges on behalf of the Trece Martires City teachers.
Together we will build a strong network of educational opportunities to serve our clients - “na walang iba kundi ang
mga batang Treceno”

And yes, as teachers we have our ups and downs, our good times and bad. But we will get through them all and
put the interests of our learners first. The students of Trece Martires City deserve no less.

Now this reminds me of that famous exchange between Nancy Astor and Winston Churchill, those two leading
protagonists in modern British history.

Lady Astor said to Churchill, "If you were my husband, I would put poison in your coffee."

To which Churchill replied, "And if you were my wife, I would drink it."

Hence, whatever the wife serves for his husband he would take it regardless.

On that note, let us all grab a cup of coffee .

And whatever it is that the Department of Education has required us to do, we will get the work done regardless. It is
because we don’t grow when things are easy. We grow when we face challenges.

So again, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!

Thank you and good afternoon!
