Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to conclude today’s
occasion by taking this opportunity to say, on behalf of the
teaching and non-teaching personnel’s of Ponso National High School, CONGRATULATIONS, to the graduates and the parents, family and friends who have helped us arrive at this moment. To you our dear graduates, it is clearly seen your outstanding achievements and it’s well-deserved pride! Just think about all that brought us here…all the trials and misfortunes, too great to recall, all the nights of study, all the experiences, all the stress, all the efforts and all the insights…all of it…it all comes together today, in this virtual ceremony, as we witnessed your defying fruitful journey come to an end and another door awaits you. As you leave the portals of your alma matter, kindly embody the ideals that we implanted and possess the visions off holding the light of the future. Nevertheless, adversities are not an exception to the rule of having success. Courage: In the face of adversity, and even tragedy, try to remember the reasons for optimism – and never be afraid to ask for help. Look after yourself – especially your health, both physical and mental. Let me also recognize the ones who have supported you in myriad ways. I would like to take a moment to recognize one who have been by our side since the pandemic began. They are your parents, your family who never left. The faculty and staff who worked through the fear of the pandemic. And the people who have inspired us all. Let us salute the health care workers, the municipal and barangay officials and community stakeholders... there are more! Because of them, we were free to work and study with the knowledge that our school campus would comfort us and keep us safe in ways big and small. Finally, I want to give you the opportunity to express your gratitude to your family and friends whose support has made your education possible. Hug them, if they are beside you watching and say “Thank You”.
Graduates – Congratulations! You have worked hard.
You deserve to be proud of this achievement, and to take this opportunity to celebrate.
