Abstract of Final Year Project on Online Used Book Store

Introduction:
As the users are shifting to online platforms, so following the trend we thought to create this website
for users to buy used books online. Rather than new books, we focussed on used ones because we have
seen that used books are getting waste but it can be recycled. In this way the recycling of used books
gets enhanced through our website which helps in wastage of paper and decrease cutting of trees which
leads to deforestation.

Brief Description:
Our objective of creating this website is to create awareness among students and people to purchase
used books rather than new ones. It not only saves their precious money, effort and time but also balance
the environment. Our aim is to give user an easy interface so that they can purchase used books from
their home itself and get them at their doorsteps. It not only helps the reader but also help the sellers. In
other words, this website acts like a connection between vendors and students to enhance the recycling
of used books. There are 2 Modules in this website:
1) User Module. 2) Admin Module.
The User can perform the following functionalities:

• Registration: Any User can register on website using the registration module.
• Login: This is the login form, from where customer can login into the system.
• Search: User can directly search their books easily.
• Order: User can place their order for required books.
• Contact: User can send their queries for the books which are not available.

The admin can perform the following functionalities:

• Login: Admin can login to admin panel.

• Add or Delete Book: Admin can add or delete books.
• Add or Delete Categories: admin can add or delete book categories.

Software Specification:
• HTML, CSS: For User interface.
• PHP: For Frontend & Server-Side Scripting.
• MySQL: For Database.
• CANVA: For making GIFs & Images resizing.
