Introduction:
Animation is the rapid display of still images in order to create an illusion of motion in our eyes. Our
final year project “Brain Games” is a brain teaser game targeted to children above 10 years of age. It
offers wide range of choices to the players depending upon the possible outcomes of the game. We have
designed a fun and interactive game using animated representations to demonstrate how different events
can be influenced by the player’s actions.

For this project, we chose the river crossing concept which is based on the concept of making the
characters cross the river from one side of the river to the other side of the river following certain
conditions.

We are using Flash 8.0 for animation purpose, for editing images and character we are using Photoshop
7.0 and Sound Forge for editing of audio clip.

Brief Discussion:

As per the background study it came to our notice that with the help of 2D animations we hope to
create, a Brain Game which has a gradually increasing difficulty (easy, moderate and hard).

We planned to provide players with more choices and make the game more interactive. We also
planned to add more animations with smooth transitions making it more appealing.

We have planned a series of mini games of different levels. For the 1st level we made a river crossing
game. In order to give more choices to the users we have created different animations based on
different events and different actions taken by the user.

Software Specification:
1. Macromedia Flash Professional 8.0
2. Adobe Photoshop 7.0
3. Sound Forge 4.5
