Topic: Write an essay that agrees with the fact that the Republic Act 1425: The Rizal
Law, is still relevant today and should not be abolished. Alternatively, write an essay that
provides points on why the aforementioned law is obsolete and should be amended or
abolished altogether. You must only choose one topic.

“He who does not know how to look back at where he came from will never get to his

destination.” To my way of thinking, this famous line of Dr. Jose Rizal is connected to Republic

Act 1425: The Rizal Law, it reflects the intention of the law which is to form an ideal union

among Filipinos in honor of Dr. Jose Rizal's memory, also to determine chapters in any

community, anywhere within the world, and to hold out programs of activities that may

encourage individual commitment to Rizal's idealism and private involvement within the nation's

contemporary problems, and lastly, to teach and train Filipino youth in character development,

enlightened nationalism, citizenship training, democratic leadership, and dedicated service to

country and folks. From my standpoint, Republic Act 1425 is very important to be relevant to

our country and every one Filipinos until to the current generation because it teaches us lots of

lessons to be an improved individual of our country, the Philippines.
