SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENT 2

This essay only contains summarized details and the reasons why Jose Rizal does not

have a good relationship towards the nine girls that he dated starting from he was 16 years old.

Also, the reasons and points why I oppose to consider Jose Rizal as a white knight.

Based on the romantic journey that Dr. Jose Rizal’s had, he is not considered as a white

knight. I am against this notion and here are my statements. First and foremost, from the articles

and contents that I have researched, majority of the love and romances that Jose Rizal had

experience was an unsuccessful trip, from left to right his heart will most likely to be heart

broken. Reasons for this, is an entanglement with friends or in the case of O-Sei San, a better

opportunity in Spanish Legation a.k.a. better job opportunity. Moreover, majority of the woman

that Jose Rizal have encountered was merely a build up from his broken heart towards Leonor

Rivera. In my opinion, he merely got into these women because he wanted to heal his broken

heart from his first engagement.

In my standpoint regarding the topic, the damaged and vulnerable partner was more

towards to Jose Rizal, he met the women and he sought comfort, happiness, and romance from

his lovers. To conclude my statement, the women that Jose Rizal have met are more of a white

knight than him.
