God denotes a perfect entity in power, intelligence, and kindness who is worshiped as the

creator and ruler of the universe (Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, 1828.). Some

believe God exists, while others believe God does not exist. Some people think that God may be

everywhere at the same time. There are lots of interpretations about God it is based on the people

beliefs and ethnicity.

Rizal's brilliance transcends even his rank as a public saint, placing him at the heart of a

religion in which he has no divine essence. He wrote passionately against ecclesiastical

debasement and abuse, which were widespread in Spain and the Philippines. His Christianity did

not rely on the mediation of minister orders, nor on the structures and connections of minister

orders. However, different Rizalist sects hold different beliefs about Jose Rizal's divinity (Heath,

2021). Some think he is God himself, while others say Rizal was God's second son, the

reincarnation of Christ. Some of these organizations consider Rizal to be the deity of the pre-

Spanish Malay faith. Some regard Rizal solely as a spiritual leader. On the other hand, Catholic

Churches interpret Rizalista that would violate freedom of conscience and religion.

Rizal agreed with Pi y Margall in condemning the Spanish use of Christianity in the

success of the Americas. Rizal claimed that the Philippines' prosperity was pursued in order to

Christianize the "agnostic Indios." (Araneta, 2021). As a result, Christianity became the

legitimizing philosophy of colonialism rather than the liberating faith of Christ. Rizal, sensitive

to developments in neighboring Asian nations, wrote in his piece published in La Solidaridad on

how Ternate was defeated in 1601 by Spanish fighters "subjugating and slaughtering the

indigenous people while chanting Salve Regina." Rizal said, "Is this the finest strategy to having

Filipinos adore this God, making them slaves and toys they should be, while their hearts and

souls scream out in fight?"

Notwithstanding, God does not seem to Rizal as a rain of sustenance or a thunderclap,

nor as an adored – appearing assigned authority to remunerate or reject magnificent and dreadful

actions. Rizal is not represented by a single person or a single revelation as portrayed in the

Bible, but rather by the incomprehensibility and wonders of nature. This viewpoint brought Rizal

dangerously close to stopping heavenly nature from obtaining Jesus Christ, the central basis of

Christianity. Rizal maintained that there is no instant support from above in history other than via

human will.
