Ernesto Samper

He was born in a prestigious family, he was one of the most prestigious and highly qualified
students of the Modern Gimnasio Moderno.
After graduation, he began studying economics and law at Javeriana University.
In 1981 he began in politics as the campaign coordinator of Alfonso López and in 1994 won
the presidential elections in the second round against Andrés Pastrana. His government was
based on the Social Leap that proposed the humanization of economic openness.

the links with drug trafficking, more specifically with the '' Cartel de Cali'. This was confirmed
