Write a thought paper:

 Is the teaching of Rizal course realistic given the dangers and sensitivity of
literature as means of communication in learning nationalism, patriotism, and
volunteerism? Do we really learn nationalism and patriotism with the present pedagogy
of Rizal course? 

Teaching Rizal course has a positive impact in terms of enlightening the mind of
the Filipinos most especially the youths about Dr.Jose Rizal and his contributions to the
patriotism in our country.

Given the dangers and sensitivity of the literature, it will help us not just only to
study the life of our national hero but also to sharpen our critical thinking skills on
understanding his life and his perspective during his time that we can also use in solving
the problems that we have in our society as of today. Additionally, it will boost
nationalism, patriotism and volunteerism in every Filipinos in the modern world.

Learning nationalism and patriotism with the present pedagogy of Rizal course is
possible as it will expand our knowledge regarding his greatest contribution in our
country which is the freedom we are experiencing. With this, it will also open up the
opportunity to know him not just from his name and the novels he has. But also, as a
national hero, a role model and an inspiration that gave us the freedom we are
experiencing today.
