SPORTS COMMUNICATION (SRC501)

ASSIGNMENT

Sports Communication’s assignment for SRC501 is divided into three (3):

ASSIGNMENT 1 – PORTFOLIO (20 Marks)

Student needs to prepare a compilation of communication tools and medium/channel used

by three (3) sports organization in Malaysia and two (2) international sports organization
in the world.

Give the example of each tools and explain the purpose of using a particular medium by
each organizations.

The assessment of this portfolio will be based on layout/presentation, contents and

creativity.

ASSIGNMENT 2 – CASE STUDY (20 Marks)

Analyse critically the importance of communication in these 2 category:

1) Athletes
2) Sports Organization.

Give appropriate examples to support your answer.

Your answer must include introduction, contents, conclusion and references.

ASSIGNMENT 3 - JOURNAL CRITICS (20 Marks)

Chose two (2) research journals that related to communication, sports communication or
sports journalism. Make a critic for each of the journals.

An articles critique requires you to critically and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses
of the article. Therefore you need to read the article to get an understanding of the main idea
and read with a critical eye.

Your article critique must has three main parts: Introduction, Summary Critique and
Conclusion.
ALL the above assignments are group assignment. The member of the group is NOT MORE
THAN THREE (3) PERSONS.

The submission date for all the assignments is on 10 JULY 2022. Failure to abide the due
date will give effect to your marks.
