Nurses
On the 9th of June we will have our second meeting of the Community of Practice for
Nurses. This time with Jane Poxon from The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital,
from Melbourne, Australia and Reuben Cruz from Bascom Palmer Eye Institute from
Miami, United States!
Pada tanggal 9 Juni kami akan mengadakan pertemuan kedua Komunitas Praktik Perawat. Kali
ini bersama Jane Poxon dari The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, dari Melbourne,
Australia dan Reuben Cruz dari Bascom Palmer Eye Institute dari Miami, Amerika Serikat!

Jane Poxon is as Executive Director of Operations and Chief Nurse Officer responsible for
overseeing all clinical operations for the organisation of The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear
Hospital, including surgical and inpatient services, and ambulatory service delivery. As Chief
Nursing Officer, Poxon is responsible for all nursing staff, the clinical competence
framework, and nurse education.
Jane Poxon adalah sebagai Direktur Eksekutif Operasi dan Kepala Perawat yang bertanggung
jawab untuk mengawasi semua operasi klinis untuk organisasi Rumah Sakit Mata dan Telinga
The Royal Victorian, termasuk layanan bedah dan rawat inap, dan pemberian layanan rawat
jalan. Sebagai Chief Nursing Officer, Poxon bertanggung jawab atas semua staf perawat,

Jane is an experienced healthcare leader who has gained over 20 years’ experience across
a range of health sector organisations. During the Community of Practice for Nurses Jane
will launch a new WAEH project about eye drops and how to apply them the best: all
members from the WAEH can join this valuable project! 
Jane adalah pemimpin perawatan kesehatan berpengalaman yang telah memperoleh pengalaman
lebih dari 20 tahun di berbagai organisasi sektor kesehatan. Selama Komunitas Praktik
Perawat Jane akan meluncurkan proyek WAEH baru tentang obat tetes mata dan cara
menerapkannya yang terbaik: semua anggota dari WAEH dapat bergabung dengan proyek berharga
ini!

As a nurse educator and co-chair of the Nursing Quality Committee at Bascom Palmer Eye
Institute, one of the responsibilities of Reuben Cruz is to assist nurses in any process
improvement project. He researched many different tools and publications, and has
developed a 4-question tool that will help pick the most relevant and appropriate topic for the
nurses to work on. He will share a very practical tool with you!
Sebagai pendidik perawat dan ketua bersama Komite Mutu Keperawatan di Bascom Palmer Eye
Institute, salah satu tanggung jawab Reuben Cruz adalah membantu perawat dalam setiap
proyek peningkatan proses. Dia meneliti banyak alat dan publikasi yang berbeda, dan telah
mengembangkan alat 4 pertanyaan yang akan membantu memilih topik yang paling relevan dan
tepat untuk dikerjakan oleh perawat. Dia akan berbagi alat yang sangat praktis dengan Anda!
