1. State the difference between purlin and grit , describe design of purlin with there load
combination?
2. Two plates 10mm and 18mm thick are to be joined by double cover butt joint design the joint for thefollowing data ,
factored design load = 750KN Bolt =M20, 4.6grade cover plates= 8mm thick each ?
3. What is the importance of wind load ,how it is being calculated for design?
4. Design a double angle discontinuous strut to carry a load of 250KN , the length of the strut between c/c of
intersections is 3.85m?

5. Design a suitable angle section to carry tensile force of 250KN , use welded connection?
