Affirmative, negative and

Be going to
The structure includes subject + am/is/are + going to + verb in base form.
Be going to has different uses and we are going to explain them here.

Intention a decided plan.


• I’m going to look for a place when I move to Tijuana next week.
Prediction  a prediction based on evidence.
• Be careful! The flowers are going to fall.
Command  An obligation
• You’re going to do your homework after lunch.

Examples:
1) I’m going to make myself a sandwich and get back to work.
(Intention)
2) I’m going to bed after dinner. (Command)
3) What time are we going to leave tomorrow? (Intention)
4) It is winter, it is going to snow soon. (Prediction)
5) Grandmother is going to make me two dresses. (Intention)
6) Alex is going to college when he graduates. (Command)
