The prelude to the fall of

the empire was the sack
of Rome that took place
on August 24, 410. This
sack was carried out by
the Visigoths and was
the first time that Rome
fell to an enemy
 1- Decline in values and morals.
2- Public health and diseases.
3- Poor technological development.
4- Inflation.
5- Urban decay.
6- A divided Empire.
7- Barbarian invasions.
-The wars caused a decrease in the population.
-There was great insecurity in the cities due to
invasions by the barbarians.
-There was less trade and there was a shortage
of supplies in the cities.
-The state collected fewer taxes.
