The Unchanging Word

Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible,

by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. 1 Pet. 1:23

1. When the earth shall cease to be, And the heav - ens pass a - way,
2. Since the morn when time be - gan, Hath His word ceased to pre - vail?
3. Hath a mor - tal yet been found Who hath trust - ed Him in vain?
4. Trust - ing Him I’m not a - fraid, For He car - eth still for me;
5. Oh, what peace and calm con - tent! Oh, what love and joy di - vine,

The un - chang - ing word of God we’ll see Just as it is to - day.
Is the God of heav - en weak as man? Or can His prom - ise fail?
Search the whole broad space of earth a - round, And search it once a - gain.
And for me the prom - ise sure was made And sealed on Cal - va - ry.
While I trust Thy change - less word, are blent With - in this heart of mine.
