q » GUIDEBOOK OIL RIG DESIGN COMPETITION CompetitionDERRICK 2021 + OIL RIG DESIGN COMPETITION ‘conerton BRIEF EXPLANATION Oil Rig Design Competition challenges participants to combine their knowledge and innovation in designing a semi-submersible platform for a specific offshore oil field. Their design must be able to overcome any given field obstacles by applying their engineering sense. Participants are required to make their project report, and pre- sentation. Participants will present their proposed semi-submersible platform in front of judges, including questions and answers (QnA) session. THEME “Golden Generation to Pursue Advancement Era of Deepwater Drilling in Indonesia with Innovative Offshore Drilling” FIELD OVERVIEW Babar Selaru PSC is o ffshore block located approximately 100km south west of Saumlaki in Vamdena Island of Tanimbar Island s. The block area covers 5,170sq km with 800to 2,300 me ters of water deep. Babar Selaru also lies about 60 kilometres northwest of the Abadi gas field in the Masela Block. Babar-Selaru exploration block Is located within the collisional boundary between Australian continental plate and Banda Arc region of Indonesia. The area is charac- terized by wide deformation zone comprising of complex fold- th rust-belt, involv- ing Mesozoic and Tertiary sedimentary sequences of Austra li an continental margin Exploration in the fold- thrust- belt area is challenging and often dif ficu It particu- larly conducting seismic interpretation due to complex structural geometries. Project report must be written in English and include team name, team leader and members. 2. Project report must not consist of university name and logo. 3. Content of the project report must include name, 5 drilling systems, and type of platform concept of design (in relation to the topic) field data and analysis as well as innovations, features, capabilities of the platform, and economic analysis. Addi- tional data for the problem field can be filled with well analysis 4. The PE contain from the Blueprint that has been sent before and must not be changed. 5. PE is an elaboration of the blueprint with the addition of components that are at number 3 and expected to watch carefully so that your PE is complete and there are no mistakes on it. 6. IPresentation may not consist of university attribute, university logo, organization attribute, and organization logo. 2. The presentations stage for each team will consist of 10 minutes of presentation and 15 minutes of QnA. It is divided into 5 minutes to answer the each judges (There will be 3 judges). Each team is given 5 minutes to prepare for their presentation as well as their model. 3. The contents of the material presented must be in accordance with the project report that was already sent to the committee before. 4.The content presented must include innovations, attractive presentation model, and videos are allowed in the presentation. 5. The presentation test will be conducted via online by zoom application. All forms of communication during the presentation as well as the presentation material must be presented in English. 6. Header and Footer (from sponsorship) must be input in PPT. 7. During the presentation, the whole team or the representation of the team, can present / be the speaker of the presentation test. 8, Submission of PPT in .pdf format without Video, Video PPT can be sent separately with a resolution of min 240p max 720p and the max size is 500 mb via gdrive link. 9. The judgement overview video for favorite winner based on 30% likes and 70% from judges. . Participants are required to make a video about their oil platform with maximum duration of 180 seconds with mp4 format, a resolution of min 360 p max 1080 p, and the maximum file size is 650 mb. . The video must be in vertical/horizontal with an aspect ratio of 1080 x 1920p / Full HD and should have a minimum frame rate 25 fps. . The video overview must consist of general information of the platform, systems, and innovation. . Innovation & Creativity 20% The innovation of your oil rig must be able to solve the given problem, it can reasonably be applied even if it something new (have specification and relatable) and it becomes a plus value. Detail Model 10% Completeness & detail of equipment in oil rig, components placement, and neatness of the rig model. Project Report 10% Content detail.
