Definition of Terms

Operational definitions were provided for a better understanding of the important


concepts in the study.
Age. the amount of time that someone or something has lived or existed,
measured from their birth date to a specific moment in time.

Anonymity. Anonymity refers to situations in which the identity of the individual


is undisclosed.

Avoidance of Core Service Failure and Responses. A breakdown in the


customer's impression of the quality of a service process is referred to as service failure.

Authorized. Bestowed with power and authorized representative who has the
capacity to empower or approve.

Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management. A four-year degree program


that focuses on the planning, development, and management of human resources of
hotel, dining, and resort operations.

Brands. A brand is a name, word, design, symbol, or other element that


identifies one seller's product or service from that of others.

Buying Decision. Before, during, and after the purchase of an item or service,
customers employ the buying decision process to make decisions about market
transactions.

Confidentiality. Confidentiality refers to a set of rules or a pledge that is


generally carried out through confidentiality agreements that limits or restricts access to
specific sorts of information.

Consumers. A consumer is a person or a group who wants to order, buy, or


utilizes buying products, goods, or services for personal, social, family and domestic
purposes.

Consumer Behavior. The study of people, groups, or organizations, as well as


all behaviors involved with the purchase, use, and disposal of products and services,
refers to how a person's emotions, attitudes, and preferences influence their purchasing
decisions.

Convenience. The condition of being able to do a task with minimal effort or


difficulty, procedures, products, and services are those that are designed to improve
accessibility, save resources, and reduce frustration.

consumers to buy and sell products or services from practically anywhere utilizing a
mobile phone or tablet device and an application.

Price. A price is the amount of money or compensation provided to another


person in exchange for products or services.

Preferences. Preference refers to a choice for one option over another while
deciding between two options or more.

Purchase. The coordinated procurement of products and services on behalf of


the purchasing entity is referred to as purchasing.

Purchase Intention. Purchase intent refers to the likelihood of a customer


purchasing a good or service.

Respondents. Individuals who take a survey or interview for the researcher, or


who contribute data to be examined for the research project, are referred to as
respondents.
Revolutionized. To fundamentally alter or fully transform an industry.

Survey Questionnaire. A questionnaire is a research tool that consists of a set


of questions used to gather data from the respondents in a survey or statistical study.

Service Delivery Failure. When a customer's impressions of a service delivery


fall short of expectations, service failure happens.

Service Encounter. A consumer's direct contact with a service provider,


encompassing both face-to-face interaction and experience, is referred to as a service
encounter.

Service Quality. Service quality refers to the quality of how well a company
meets its customers' expectations in terms of service delivery.

Social Network. A website or other program that allows users to communicate


with one another by publishing information, comments, messages, and photographs.

Sex. In the study, it is used to differentiate and identify male and female
students.

Trend. A trend is a pattern of steady change in a process, product, or condition


that is popular at a certain point in time.

Young Adults. A young adult is a person who is in their adolescent years, a


person in their teens or early twenties.
