New and fresh ideas are more likely to be generated when employees from different generations are
working together. However, generational stereotypes may contribute to decreased output by
sowing discord among groups. There are a number of measures that may be adopted on the
organizational level to mitigate the effects of generational differences:

1. Discussing about New Tools and Technology monthly:

Every month, we have a meeting to talk about the latest tools and technologies. A monthly
discussion weighing the benefits and drawbacks of the latest market tools and technology would
bring together the perspectives of senior-level managers and those of younger generations. Talking
about Josh's plan to employ digital media in the Triple-F film promotion like this might have helped
Sara grasp it, for instance.

2. Implement Diversity Inclusion Training Programs:

Businesses, like those focusing on racial and gender diversity, should also train their staff to
appreciate the contributions of other generations.

3. Organise Role Plays during Corporate Events:

Include generational role plays into corporate events by assigning workers to represent a member of
a different generation and responding in ways that are stereotypical for that group. They will be able
to learn how to modify their conduct moving forward. Using the Role-Playing exercise, for instance,
Josh would have learned how negatively excluding Sara from the conversation would have affected
her. Instead of working against one other, they might instead use the strengths of the others to
achieve their goals. If such a programme had been implemented, for instance, Josh's IT acumen and
digital skill would have been immediately recognizable to Sarah, and she could have been more
receptive to his ideas.
