Opposition 1st point: Modern technology alone cannot free human s physical needs. In this modern era, human needs a place to stay or a very nice and cozy place to live. As the population is increasing, people have a lot of physical needs. The most important need is a house to live in. Modern technology has offer the expertise to build more and more buildings and houses. Nowadays, we can see buildings and houses mushrooming here and there. Does it improve the quality of life? Honestly, the answer is YES! But does it FREE HUMANS? Being a wise person, of course the answer is NO! People would never satisfy of their physical needs. The more it has to offer the more people want it. Therefore, modern technology alone cannot FREE HUMANS from physical needs. And the motion here today says, Modern technology is a great liberator . I don t think so. Modern technology is not a great liberator because it cannot FREE HUMAN from physical needs. Modern technology instead has confirmed humans in a lot of disputes. What about weaponry which leads to war? What about the fast development which lead to disaster, such as landslides and floods? Modern technology alone also cannot free human from natural disaster. And yet the government said that it is a great liberator. Members of the House, Though we do not deny the importance of modern technology through which humans could benefit from; modern technology alone cannot free humans from physical and social demands. Moreover, telephone-local or oversea is playing a key role for people to communicate to each other. Members of the House, Modern technology has free the people from the constraint of social and economic as well as discrimination. The invention of machines helps to do work faster and easier. Internet helps people to communicate and socialize with people from all walks of life and transportation. This has made the world as the world without boundary. Our lives and daily activities are getting better and improving.
