The barrister

The author was sent to Britain at the age of nine. Having raised on state money, he pushed himself to
attend bad performing school. He managed to scrape through all his exams and enter the University of Law.
Having done a master’s degree, he took a final decision to become a barrister. It was a great inspiration to
present people in court. To do a work placement, first and foremost, the author had to shadow a barrister
before being accepted. He didn’t manage to have networking in this sphere so it was senseless to pick a
fight with a system. Against the odds, the author managed to achieve his goal by putting his heart on this
profession.

2. Fashion designer

In childhood, Lilly set her heart on the profession of a costume designer. Having done her best and worked
after school in the local theatre, she realized it wasn’t her cup of coffee. The next boring profession was
literature. She made a fortune by sending her artworks and being accepted later. Her head of the course
helped her to raise confidence and individual style. The college took her for three-month work placement.
Lilly wasn’t half-hearted and worked hard. Later at the age of 16, she was working for a company and later
made her collection. There were some periods in Lilly’s life when she owed a fortune but in the end, she got
a good work placement against the odds.

3. The banker

Wen Bu got some work experience while studying at LSE. LSE provided him huge opportunity for a work
placement but it was still tough to do some networking. In his profession, it was vital to have work
experience rather than diploma, but of course, you still need certain qualifications. Having worked for 12-
13 hours per day, Wen took it in his stride. Before being taken on, he decided to do a master’s degree in
finance. The salary was less important for him compared to the skills and responsibilities he achieved.
Unfortunately, regarding all uncurtains, he couldn’t foresee his future.

4. The architect

Having put her heart on architecture, Amandie came to London and started making a portfolio by attending
local courses. Later she picked highly competitive AA school because of close-knit atmosphere that was
essential. She owed a fortune in terms of education so firstly she had to get a scholarship. Finally, she got
the job of her dreams because her friends had vouched for her. Apart from having a great CV, the author
thinks your job depends on your personality features.
