I wanted to develop a hybrid set of business
acumen and technical skills, and the course
content was exactly what I was looking
for. It focuses on the cross-section of
technology and business, which is in high
demand these days.
My course has a relatively small cohort,
which means that we have close
relationships with each other. We also
share very similar passions and interests
as the course is shaped for students who are
passionate about technology. Having the
opportunity to learn, engage, and discuss
with people who share the same passion
as you is one of the best things about
this course.

Two things set WBS apart: the people and its
environment. Firstly, the lecturers, the academic
support staff, the careers team, and the wellbeing
team are awesome. Never in my life have I
encountered people who want the best for you
to succeed. Everyone across the board wants you
to succeed academically and personally. I have
also found my lecturers to be very responsive

In addition to this, the location of the

serene and very conducive for learning. I also feel

After completing my undergraduate studies

For me, the best thing about the course

high for the cohort, and I found this highly
motivating. The course modules interweave

50 Masters Courses 2022
I was fascinated by the course, which provides a great
balance between business modules and marketing
modules. As I don’t have any prior academic knowledge in
business or marketing, this course is exactly what
I needed before pursuing a career in marketing.
Throughout each term there has been a mix of business
modules such as Strategy Analysis and Practice, as well as
marketing modules such as Service Marketing. I have also
been able to make friends with people outside my course,
because the business modules are taught with other
courses which has been an amazing experience!

I was attracted to WBS as it provides a myriad
of specialised courses, and the Business School is
renowned across the world. I wanted to study at
WBS because the MSc Business with Operations
Management course provided a great array of
optional modules for me to tailor my studies
to my particular interests. The best thing about
my course so far has been the group work which
has enabled me to learn from my classmates. At
first the emphasis on group work did slightly worry
me, however I soon found that working with my
classmates who are from all over the world
and have many different ideas, perspectives and
viewpoints is definitely a positive process and can
produce some of the best work.

I have always tried to change things for
the better, improve team performance
and grow by solving problems and finding
new and better ways of doing things.
WBS combines excellent teaching
whilst embracing creativity and
innovation, which really attracted me to
this course.
The best part of the course is that
it allows us to learn from industry
consultant practitioners and gain
insight and practice with clients and
specialists. Such practical experiences
challenge the gap between academia
and real-life situations which is truly
inspiring.

By virtue of the nature of my course and having
to regularly interact with my course mates, I have
developed a high level of multicultural intelligence
skills. In Term 1 my group consisted of seven people
from five different countries - Malaysia, Nigeria, China,
Greece, and India. Collaborating with my course
mates has definitely broadened my perspective
of life and increased my network of friends. Besides
discussing our studies, we sometimes talk about our
aspirations and views on topics in the international
world of business such as politics, sports, and
technology which enables us to learn new knowledge
from one another.
Before coming to WBS, I was worried about being able
to cope with the intensity of an MSc course particularly
during a pandemic. However to my surprise, the
support I garnered was overwhelming. At every level
within the University of Warwick and WBS, I discovered
that I was able to fully adapt in a very short time and
with ease.
