Physiotherapy is a form of health service aimed at individuals and/or groups to develop, maintain and

know body movements and functions throughout the life span by using manual handling, equipment
improvement (physical, electrotherapeutic and mechanical), function training, communication.
Physiotherapy Tasks
The tasks of physiotherapy can be distinguished based on their respective functions.
In general, the tasks of physiotherapy are:

 help patients who have strenuous physical activities such as exercise through manual
physiotherapy or using equipment
 Provide education to patients about actions before, during and after patients receive
physiotherapy services
 Assessing problems that occur in individuals and groups related to physical health
 Provide physical and psychological therapy to patients based on the problems experienced
 Relieve movement and function disorders in patients
 Provide food and drink intake that must be consumed.
In carrying out their services, physiotherapists will certainly cooperate with other health professions,
especially if these services are carried out in clinics or hospitals that have many health professions in
them. This collaboration was formed solely to achieve the same goal, namely healing and good
service to patients.
One of the professions that physiotherapists often engage in is Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Specialist (Sp.KFR).
