NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, 19th November, 1991

S.O. 787(E).--In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 51 of the
Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 (6 of 1974) and in supersession of the notification of
the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Department of Environment, Forests
and Wildlife No. S.O. 247(E), dated the 8th March, 1988, except as respect things done or omitted to be
done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby specifies the Water Laboratory of the
Central Pollution Control Board, Parivesh Bhawan, C.B.D. cum-Office complex, East Arjun Nagar, Delhi as
a Central Water laboratory to carry out the functions entrusted to the Central Water Laboratory under the
said Act.
