Series 50 Fetal Monitors

Transducer Knob Adapter
The Transducer Knob Adapter (M1356-43201 or M1356-43203) can be attached to the following
Series 50 transducers.
• External TOCO Transducer M1355A.
• Ultrasound Transducer M1356A.
The Transducer Knob Adapter is an alternative to the belt button. You can use it to fasten the belt and
position the Ultrasound or TOCO transducers during monitoring.

Before you install the Transducer Knob Adapter to:

• the External TOCO Transducer
place the transducer between two blocks (see diagrams on the back of this sheet) to ensure the sensor
knob on the bottom of the transducer does not contact any surface when the Transducer Knob
Adapter is pressed into the transducer.
• the Ultrsound Transducer
place the transducer on a flat surface.

To install the Transducer Knob Adapter:

1. Remove the two screw covers (A) from the top of the transducers as follows:
a. Pierce the screw covers with a flat-blade screwdriver.
b. Prise the screw covers out of the holes using the screw driver.

 2. Position the Transducer Knob Adapter (B) to fill securely into the screw holes (C).

3. Apply pressure with both thumbs to the flat surface of the Transducer Knob Adapter (B) and
push it firmly into place.
