Should children be required to have the household tasks?
Doing the housework help children
a lot for their life. Therefore, I strongly agree with this statement. I agree with this opinion because of these reasons. Firstly, household tasks can make children to have some important skills for life. So they must have the skills because chores help improve planning and time management skills. Chores can help teens build good habits early: responsibility and self - reliance. Juggling schoolwork deadlines, housework and their social lives helps them learn to set priorities and manage their time, important skills for the working. Secondly, I've heard that if children do the housework, they can do better at school, have a good relationships with their friends, teachers. Moreover, sharing housework can also help families work better and reduce family stress. Last but not least, chores help to teach teamwork. Being a productive member of a team can be modelled for children through housework. So housework can help children to develop strong teamwork skills to use at school or work. However, many people don't agree with this question. They often think about the childhood of the children and they don't want their child to do the housework. They want them to play. Children have to study at school all day and they have to do the homework. Children should relax. But some families don't differentiate between chores and play. And a professional said that: “The chores are a part of living in a household but it's not punishment, it's something that everyone has to do”. Some parents prefer not to use the word “chore”. It only because it makes a routine task sound unpleasant. Sometimes, the children can't do all the things perfectly and either the household tasks. And adults don't want to do it again. Actually, when children do the chores, don't expect perfection. And of course, you can’t make a small child to do the heavy things because “Small children small choice. Big kids bigger chores”. To conclude, it's clear that children should have the household tasks. I hope that all children can do the housework that suitable for their ages.
