Nowadays, in the modern world, children are required to be a smart generation. Therefore,
they need to improve many life skills also include household tasks. So I strongly agree that
children should help with the housework as soon as they can do so.
First of all, doing housework is not a really hard work, but it requires carefulness and hard-
working. When children do it by themselves, they will respect others’ work ethic and value.
If they did the same work with their parents such as: washing dishes, doing laundry, etc, they
would understand the difficulties that their parents cope with. The understanding will lead
they to care about and help other people, escpecially their family, and there is a benefit of
doing housework is forming a good habit for children. On the other hand, a children do not
required to do the household tasks will be selfish and lazy, they even not think for their
parents are really tired with jobs.
Futhermore, the more housework shared, the happier the family is. After a long tired day, our
parents come back home from work, they feel upset and depressed because of the work, the
social, the traffic jam, etc. So the most comfortable way to remove stress from them is doing
the housework by yourself. It not only make a happy atmosphere, lead your parents to a
relaxed feeling but also make yourself feel delighted because of doing good work.
To sum up with, children doing household tasks as soon as they are able to do so, will lead
them to a easy and convenient life. It will help us prepare for our adults’ life, when we
become parents and have a family, we will not be dependent.
