stereo-types within their works. Was the use of stereo-types successful?

2. Sometimes a simple misunderstanding changes the whole outcome of a play

or novel. Discuss the impact of such misunderstandings in at least two of the
works you have studied.

3. With reference to at least two works you have studied discuss the reasons why
each work has been set in a particular place.

4. To what extent is the moral development of a character important in the

development of literature? Refer to two of the texts studied.

5. In many works of literature, a physical journey – the literal movement from one
place to another – plays a central role. Comment on what role a physical
journey plays in two of the works studied.

6. Literature often depicts characters caught between colliding cultures or

beliefs. Use two of the texts studied and comment on why author’s might have
employed this conflict.
