of HEPA Compliance
This Wet/Dry Vacuum
To qualify as a HEPA system, a unit must capture and retain 99.97% of all
contam inants down to 0.3 micron in particle size. The Bioweb filter-alone
unit showed an efficiency of 99.996% in the 0.3 micron particle size range,
meeting and exceeding the HEPA efficiency requirements set by the United
States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and required under the
Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Program
The testing process used to evaluate the emissions of this vacuum is based
on the sodium flame photometer detection methods from BS 3928 -
Method for Sodium Flame Test for Air Filters. This process first determines
the airflow rate of the vacuum cleaner, then evaluates the efficiency of the
machine with laser par ticle counters. Finally, the efficiency of the vacuum
cleaner in the powered-on state is verified using a sodium flame
photometer.
