Week 5 Format 1

My notes:
many people in the United States gather in times square to count down to the new year,
Americans have many Christmas songs but the one they use the most is by Auld Lang Syne.
every year there are many people celebrating new year, they can drink a lot of liquor on
December 31st and January 1st.

Week 5 Format 2

New Year’s Eve in the United States (celebration)

1. many people gather to watch the fireworks.

2. each family makes much food to celebrate

3. many people gather to sing Auld Lang Syne

4. a lot of what is eaten that day is Peas or beans, Pork and Hoppin' John.

5. enjoy a lot the Rose Parade

6. one of the many places to celebrate the new year and see fantastic lights is in new
orleans, louisiana.
