As I grew up, I gradually came to appreciate the importance of financial instruments in the modern
world. In my undergrad, I was fortunate to have been exposed to many interesting and challenging
fields. Though I ultimately chose to major in Computer Science, I tried to keep myself up to date with
business, management, and finance. These topics impressed upon me the importance of the financial
sector in the economy. Finance professionals have the unique responsibility of managing assets and
analyzing risks to ensure the future success of a company or organization. It is difficult to overstate the
importance of this role, as the financial crisis of 2009 showed. It is due to my understanding of the
importance of finance and investment, coupled with my longstanding interest to study this subject in
depth, that I have decided to invest in finance knowledgeas one of my major focus during post-

After earning my master’s degree, I hope to work for an international investment bank such as JP
Morgan or Goldman Sachs as a financial and investment professional. Equipped with the technical
expertise and professional skills, I will be prepared for the challenges that I will encounter. In my career,
I hope to not only work to avoid future financial collapses but also to help institutions use their
resources to the greatest advantage.
