STEALTH WEAPONS
Seeing the unseen… or not! 1
So what’s the concept behind the illusive and
provoking subject of STEALTH WEAPONARY for DL?
And what originally inspired this design?
The rear naked choke?
We’ll look at this more in the next training packs;
It’s cool…
Well the word stealth has an eerily menacing ‘ring’ to
it (pardon the pun) but there’s a rather deep and
profound thinking behind the designs and
applications of this rather beautiful “smart Jewelry”
(Not all is what it may seem!) www.defencelab.com
STEALTH
The “Equalizer” The attribute or characteristic of acting in such a way that the
actions are unnoticed or difficult to detect by others.
Think on this…
Stealth weaponry vs the knife 2
Classic Problem
One common problem is that there are too many people all
claiming to have the answers with regards to the study of the
knife or knife training…. And “Claiming” they, and they alone 4
“Get it”
It’s like everybody thinks everybody else is stupid or something…
now don’t get me wrong, for sure there are some really bad
teachers of knife development skills out there, but there are also
some great teachers out there too, all with their own unique
take on things, and all with invaluable information to pass on….
Bob & Andy having a bit of fun
No new words
There are no new words or information to be given out about what “happens” during a knife
fight, it’s all been said, what interests me more is quite simply the training, the study, the
investigation; and let’s not forget, its actually fascinating to study and learn too, albeit a very
serious subject indeed.
Even a simple contact will open you to the bone, the mental and
chemical effects that happen within the body are potent enough to
instantly stop and drop the average person
STEALTH WEAPONRY – The “Equalizer”
The matador….
When a matador squares off against a bull in those last minutes of their battle for life, and they
both stand and look at each other, eye to eye, one last time before that final attack, one thing,
and one thing only is inevitable; one or both will die…. Due to the nature of this culture the bull
always dies, BUT many times takes the matador with him.
Moral debate
The using of this example here is not of a moral debate, or whether this part of the Spanish
culture is right or wrong, but rather a VERY REAL view on life and death. When you square up and
enter on an assailant with a knife, maybe you survive, and maybe you don’t, that’s it…. It’s as
blunt and direct as that.
We would all like, I included, that super-secret answer, or technique that would make us
invincible against a knife attack, but there simply isn’t one
If you square up against a knife, that’s presuming we know about it, and can see it, you really are
looking death right in the eye… are you prepared to play with your life, REALLY???????.....
If you have no option, then you need to stand and look death in the eye, just as a matador does,
and do what needs doing, the consequence… well, nobody knows.
Can training be of help, absolutely, no question; but in the blink of an eye, it’s possible it all goes
terribly wrong… very scary!
STEALTH WEAPONRY – The “Equalizer”
A question?
How often do you walk around all day with a knife in both your hands? NEVER; I hope!
This is now were we start to find a simple yet profound difference between a knife and the
“EQUALIZER”.
Of course a knife is deadly, we all have this more than clear, and if drawn is beyond serious; but
let’s ask the question again, how many of us walk around with a knife in each hand all day?
You need to draw a knife, even if your fast, you need to draw it; and it’s still a BLADE, with the
“EQUALIZER” you have 4 “blades” on your hands
24/7 making instinctive action reaction a serious
contender.
Enlightening…
It will play with your mind for sure; and all good fun
too!

OR
Maybe the neck pull knife
It’s also noted that in truth we use very little of the brains true capacity. What if we can
squeeze just a little more… that’s our challenge.
Mechanical Architecture
Mix a great mind set with awesome body mechanics and framework and you create a different
kind of instinctive fighting ability. It’s what we’re all seeking, and it’s a never ending journey;
but that’s also what makes it a great journey. Discovery is invigorating, the day you “Know it all” 10
it’s over…
As your training portal expands, you will have the option to continue studying and investigating
with me and the crew as if you were at the Defence Lab HQ with us, and studying the vast array
of areas that we are continually developing day in and day out….
Escape from rear bear hug – Arms free, urban weapon used
The rear choke: simply not good! Being attacked is never good, obviously,
but there are certain attacks like the rear choke that are placed in
the critical category… in reality ,if a full on rear naked choke is
applied you are done, period.
Also we use this line of defense as most people, when untrained, will react the same; they go to
source, basically meaning they will instinctively grab the arms or hands of the person applying the
choke, so based on that notion, we go to source, as you will probably do this instinctively, hence we
cultivate an instinctive reaction, but with a little twist!!
