B. Am I Eligible for Application?
A Citizenship
Those who hold citizenship outside Korea.
* There are more detailed conditions for students with
Korean ethnicity. For the details, please refer to page 2
of our official guide.
B Degree
Those who hold or expect to hold a Bachelor’s degree or
higher by February 28th, 2023

C English Proficiency Test (EPT) report
Our official language of communication and instructions for
international students at KAIST is English. Therefore, all
applicants must provide at least one of the EPT scores.

D
Other qualifications
Our student selection committees evaluate your prior
performance, future promise and prospective contribution to
our community based on your academic records,
recommendations and other supporting materials.
* To support their reading, it is very important for you
to send us supporting materials in an organized manner.
C. How Do I Prove My Qualifications?
1. A photocopy of your ID (preferably your passport)
2. Photocopies of public documents indicating your parents’
citizenship
3. Certificate of Family registration or an equivalent public document
(s) indicating relation among the applicant and parents
1. Certified copies of your degree and transcripts from
each college, university or technical school you attended.
* If you haven’t earned your degree yet, you can replace it with
the certificate or an official letter of expected graduation.
** Please note that you are not eligible if the expected date of
graduation is later than the admission date at KAIST.
1. Valid and recognized EPT score taken after September 15th, 2020
2. Recognized tests and minimum scores:
TOEFL (iBT 83) – report through ETS (code: 0195)/
IELTS 6.5 [Academic Mode] / TOEIC 720 (Listening & Reading) /
TEPS 599 (326 for new TEPS)
3. Please check the eligibility of EPT exemption request on page 3
of our official guide.
1. Online Application Printout & CV (Verify with proofs)
2. Two recommendation letters from your academic advisors,
professors from your college or university (preferred), or
supervisors from your company (electronically received)
3. Honors, awards, and employment certificate with proofs
Don’t Forget!
Our Student Selection Committee will evaluate you based on the
application and the supporting materials you’ve submitted. Therefore,
1) All the documents should be written (or translated)
either in English or Korean by the issuing institutes or a public notary.
2) Please send the documents in an orderly manner.
