CORE COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

 Problem Solving: I have been a combat Army wife for eleven years and a
mom for eight. I have learned creative ways to solve problems that arise
quickly and often with limited resources.
 Creative Thinking: It has been said that one should think out of the box. Not
only do I think out of the box, I can’t remember the last time I saw the box.
 Idea Development: Even if I do not think of the idea, I often try to add
something to the idea or plan because I do not think the way someone else
might so I can enhance the outcome by speaking up and adding my input.
 Mediation: I have been a mom of two for over five years. I have learned how
to compromise in the most effective way so everyone is as equally happy
with the outcome as possible.
 Communication, especially written: I often have a way with words. I can
often explain ideas in multiple ways so everyone can understand the idea.
 Empathy: I have great compassion for those I come in contact with, and can
often put myself in their shoes to give me a view from their side of the
world.
 Attention to Detail: I often see things in a way that others around me may
not. This grants me insight that others may not have seen.
 Emotional Intelligence: I have developed ways to process any negative
emotions I or others may experience in ways that lessen the impact of the
negative emotions so things can be more easily worked through.
