1. Installation procedure

Before activating the SSP, please install the current version of the MipaMix software.
Further, it is necessary to install the MA91 drivers separately. Therefore execute the
setup file

X-Rite MA91+OEM Driver v2.2.0.exe located in the folder

\\install\PreReqs\

on the enclosed CD. Afterwards it is required to reboot the computer.

2. First start of MipaMix

Make sure that the MA91 measurement device is running and connected correctly to
the computer. When starting MipaMix for the first time after installation, a login-
screen appears.

Enter the following login-name and password:

Username: experte
Password: experte

In the following selection screen choose “Administrator’s settings”.

3. Activation of the product key

At the first start after a new installation the program is in the program settings,
alternatively you can press F12 or select “Extras
Program settings” in the task bar.

In category “All systems
Licences” activate “Such- /Sortierprogramm (SSP)” and

click on “Activate Module”. Now enter your customer number and license key. If the
data is correct, a check mark appears in category “Licensed”. Additionally the
expiration of the validity is displayed.

To complete the activation process, click on the “save” button. Afterwards a restart of
MipaMix is required.

If you have no valid license key, please contact our MipaMix-Support (you can find
the contact details on the backside of the CD-case).

4. Connection of the MA91

After the restart of the program, you have to log in again. Therefore click on the mipa-
logo on the upper left side and select “Login”. Then open the SSP-settings in the
options bar (“Extras
Program settings
Mipa Autolack
Search and sort
program“).

Now choose Xrite MA91 and click on “Measuring instruments display settings”.
Here you find settings for language, standby/turn-off time and system time.

- Serial number: Displays the serial number of the connected measurement device.
- Language: Changes the display language of the MA91.
- minutes to power down mode: Time until standby.
- switch of: Time until shut down.
- System time: transfers the entered time to the MA91.

If there is no serial number displayed, please check the installation of the MA91
drivers (refer also to section 1 of this manual) and the proper connection of MA91
and your computer.

5. Choosing default search-system

In the options menu („Mipa Autolack
Basic data“) you can change the used
search-system between MCS and MCS-2 by (de)activating the check mark “Default
search using MCS-2”.
By clicking the “save” button the chosen option is stored.

6. Start SSP

Having completed the installation of the MA91, you can start the SSP by clicking
“Formulation
SSP” in the main menu.
