S atchidananda Jothi Nikethan International School celebrated World

Book and Copyright Day by conducting Mass Reading and a Book
Fair in its premises on April 21, 2022. The three day Book Fair
highlighted the importance of reading books and how books would
become integral part of life of students. Before the inauguration, students
read enmass for an hour sitting in the school gallery heralding and
welcoming the arrival of 'World Book and Copyright Day '.
The book fair was inaugurated jointly by Mr.C.R.Elangovan,
Researcher, Author, Co-ordinator, Arivukkeni, Coimbatore Book
Fair Festival 2022 and Ms. Franziska Kindervater, Director, South
Asia, Thuringia International, Germany. Mr.C.R. Elangovan spoke
on the importance of book reading among students and how it would
elevate their thinking and the progress in their lives.
Dr.Kavidasan, Secretary of the school spoke on the need among
children to cultivate book reading habits and how it could transform their
lives. He also thanked the publishers Scholastic Publishers Ltd., Delhi,
Vijaya Pathippagam, Coimbatore, New Century Book House, Kavin
Publications, Red Book Fair and Adithi Books, Coimbatore for displaying
their books for exhibition cum sale.
A Model Post Office and a Philately exhibition were also arranged
to make children aware on the importance of postal services in our daily
life. Shri.T.Venkatesan, Asst. Superintendent of Post Offices (OD),
Tirupur Region and Smt. R.K.Nagajyothi, Head Postmaster,
Mettupalayam trained our students along with their staff on the services
rendered by the Postal Department.
The Students of Satchidananda Philately Club displayed, Thematic
stamp collection on Astrological signs, Philatelic stationaries on

Mahathma Gandhi, Philatelic project on Olympic Games and

Festivals, Permanent Pictorial cancellations, Postcards received
from Europian countries through Post crossing, Headgears and

The three day workshop enriched the reading habits of the children and parents could
also witness the book fair purchased books for their near and dear.

If you truly desire for success, remember that the real successful people of the
world have always been people who harnessed and put unseen forces of opportunities
into practical use. If you truly believe in your dreams and think that what you do
is right, then never mind remarks of anyone who take pleasure in your temporary

INSIGHT - Counselling Session Held

T hirty eight new students of class 10 and 11 with their

parents attended a counselling session on April 22 and 23,
2022, conducted by Dr. N. Lakshmanan, Clinical Psychologist
and Mrs.P. Sangeetha our Counsellor. This session was based on
the INSIGHT (Identifying Natural Strength and Intelligence for Higher Growth Task)
conducted last month. It helps the students to prefer their career as per their interest and
skills. We received positive feedbacks from the students and parents as it helped them to
explore many career options. In addition, parents have mentioned that they understood the
psychological needs of their children better through this session.
