STUDENT INSTRUCTIONS

The experiment is the game which has 2 steps.

In the first step, you will be given the paper which include the table for you to
indicate your choice of option A or B. There are 10 decisions for you to make. The
decisions that already numbered from 1 to 10 are shown on the slide. Then, the order to
answer all the decisions will be chosen by the Random Sequence Generator from
https://www.random.org/sequences/. When we have the random sequence, you will read
and then write down the decision’s number in the first column and your choice (A or B)
in the second column.

When all participants have chosen all 10 decisions, the second step will begin to
show your payoffs. The experimenter will spin the wheel to get one number (from 1 to
10) 2 times. The first time will determine the decision (1-10) that shows everyone’s
payoffs. Only one choice will tell your payoffs and all choices are equally likely. Then,
the second time will indicate the number show your payoffs in the option you choose. For
example, we have the decision 1 like this:

The first time you spin and it points at the number 1 so the decision 1 will
determine your payoffs. Suppose you had chosen the option A in decision 1. In the
second time you spin, if it points at the number 1 then your payoff is 50,000 VND and if
it points any number from 2 to 10, your payoff is 10,000 VND. On the other hand, if you
had chosen option B, your payoff would be 80,000 VND if it points at the number 1 and
2,000 VND if it points at any number from 2 to 10. Do you have any question?
