The fumes vent facilitates the ‘evacuation of these vapours and permits perfect vision of the cooking food To connect the fumes vent follow the Procedure shown in the figure, apolying lignt pressure to insert the vent nozzle in the outiot connection. To remove it, allow the oven to cool after cooking and follow the same steps In reverse order. Warning Pay special attention when opening the door as drops of water may drip out of the fumes: vent. Ifyou clean the oven after each use'it Ul be easy to remove any traces of grease oF food. Ifyou leave them, the next time you use the oven they could give off smoke ard ‘unpleasant smells. Disconneet the oven from the mains before alesning. CLEANING MODELS HT-490 / HT-490 ME lin general, clean the oven when it is cols, using @ ryien brush er sponge with warm, soapy water or a mild detergent. If you use oven cleaners, apply them only on the enamelied surtaces, always following the manufacturer's recommencations. Warning Bo not clean the Interior of the oven with a steam of water jet. Do not use metal scouring pads, wire brushes or any other implement that could serateh the enamelling. Prolonged contact with vineger, coffee, milk, salt water, Jemon juice, fruit juice or fomsto juiee cen damage the enamelling. Tho appearance of stains on the enamelling doas not affect the oven’s performance. When remains of food deposited on the enemeliing become carbonized and resistant to normal cleaning, they can be softened uo by applying 2 warm damp cioth, 16 CLEANING MODELS HT-510 / HT-510 ME These models aro provided with a catalytic cleaning system which eliminates food anc ‘grease remains which could carbenizo on the ‘oven’s side and back walls. Instructions for Dismantling Side and Back Wall Panels (Models HT-540 and HT-549 ME) When it's necessary to dismantle the panels, proceed as follows: A Remove the tray (A) and the gsi (8). 2. Cleaning the Exterior of the Oven To clean the exterior of the oven use @ sponge and warm, soapy water or a mild setergent ‘Warming Do not use metal scouring pads, wire brushes Ur any other implement which could scratch the enamelled surfave. De not use industrial clezning products or abrasive poviders on the exterior of the oven as these are likely to damage Its finish Cleaning of Accessories Clean the oven accessories after each use ‘with normal cleaning products. Resistant stains on a tray can be removed by cleaning With a brush or sgonge and warm, soapy wster or a mild detergent Cleaning the Oven Door. The oven door can be easily dismounted for cleaning purposes. Please follow theso instructions very earetully in order to avoid causing damage to the door: 1. Their purpose Is to permit the instalation of your oven in the hest safely conditions for you and your appliance. Pee Unpacking © During unpacking, take special care when removing the oven from its box and hon handling it. Special Conditions ‘and: Safety Instructions Before fitting the even in the kitchen unit, check thet edequate ventilation spaces are provided, as this Is very Important for the correct operation of the oven, The space where tne oven Is to be fitted must be constructed in such a way that the adhesives ‘applied on laminated plastic surfaces. can withstand temperatures of up to 85°C. Before Making the Electrical Connection. Legal Requirements It's very important that the installation of the: oven be carried out by a qualified person and that the electrical connection be made in accordance with the applicable regulations. ‘Any intervention in relation with the oven must be eartiee out with the appliance disconnected from the slectricty mains. Before making the electrical connection the Installer must check: 1 chat the mains voltage and frequency correspond with what is indicated on the oven’ rating plate, 2. That the electrical inetallatinn tr which the appliance is to be connected les sufficient capacity and safety to withstand the applience's envisaged consumption. If tae oven Is installed in conjunction with a hob, che total consumption will be the sum of ‘he individual consumptions of the two appliances. ‘3 That the electrics! connection is provided with an adequate earth connection, in accordance with the applicable ‘egulations.. + The oven Is supplied exworks with & special power cable, which is of an adequate section for the envisaged ansumplion and can anly be replaced by the Technical Service using special tools, ‘+ The oven can be supplied without this special power cable. in this case It Is Important to note that for appliances whose nominal current is between 10 and 16 A, inclusive, the nominal section must be from 4.5 to 4 mm* for appliances whose riominel current is between 18 10 25 A, inclusive, the nominal section must and for appliances ‘whose nominal curtont is between 25 and 22 A, inclusive, the nominal section must ‘be from 4 to 10 mm?. The cable which is installed must be & special cable for high temperatures (T. 150). Electrical Connection When making the electrical connection, attention must be paid to the following points: 1 The mains connection cable must pass through the opening at the bottom of the tear panel and must not come into contact with any hot part of the oven. Care must bbe taken to ensure that any excess cable Is prevented from lying on the ten of the 2 The electrics! connection in the normal models is made in the wey shown in the figure. The earth wire is connected to the pole and the cower connection wires are connected to Lend N. 3. The electrical connection in the ME models Is made In the way shown in the figuee. Inthe case of the ME models, @ coupling, situated at the top of the oven, Is provided lo connect the electricity supply to the hob. 6 After making the electrical connection, check that all tho oven's electric heating elements operate correctly. CA eo @ Power eit Earth/Ground 24 @ rower Point @rarh/croune Installation of Independent Oven These oven models can be installed on or below the worktop, An opening of the indicated dimensions must be made In the poskion where Ihe aven Is to be installed. The depth of ‘the kitchen unit must be at least 500 mm tor models HT-490 and HT-510, Te install tha aven, proceed as follows: 1. Once the electrical connection has been mage, position the oven in its loeskion and cheek whether itis necossary to adust Its height and level 2 If necessary, remove the oven from its logstion, disconnect it from the mains and adjust its height by means of the adjustable legs on the underside of the Fit the oven in its definitive position end secufe it in place using the four screws supolied in the bag together with this anual, screwing them to the kitenen Unit through the holes at the sides which can be seen when the oven door ts opened, ‘Take eave to ensure thet the aven's housing is not in contact with the krichan Unit walls. Also check that the side of the qven’s frame is not in contact with ‘adjacent drawers or cupboard doors, leaving a gap of at least 2 mm, Installation of Oven + Hob These models are installed directly below the hob. Our ovens can only be combined with hobs recommended by TEKA. The use of otter hobs place the user’s safety at risk. To install the hob, refer to the hob instruction manual ‘An opening of the indicated dimensions must be made In the position where the oven Is to be Installed. The depth of the kitchen unit must be at least 500 mm for madeis HT-490 ME and HI-510 ME. Tho depth of the kitchen Unit must be at least 600 mm if the hob with which the oven is to be combined has a desth ‘of more than 500 mm. To install the oven, oroceod 2s follows: 2 Once the hob has been installed, make “he electrical connection of the oven with the ‘mains and the hob with the oven, using the cconnectar, provided on the hob. After this, and with the oven partially inserted in its position inside the kitchen unit, connect the telescopic connectors which allow the hob to be controlled from ‘the even’s control panel. ‘Once the connection has been made, slide the oven towards Its definitive position, taking care not Lo force the telescopic connectors. ‘Seoure the oven in place using the four screws sunpiled, serewing them to the kitchen unit through the holes at the sides ‘which can be seen when the even door is ‘opened.
