INTRODUCTION
E-commerce and online sales are currently at the top of purchases
because through digital media consumers seek how to carry out a fast and safe
purchase; so, in this work, we will address some aspects that people take into
account to making an online purchase; aspects such as prices, quality, trust, the
appearance of the website, etc.

As well as identifying whether consumers prefer online shopping or shopping in


which they save time or continue to prefer traditional shopping where they have
to visit the physical establishment to feel much safer with their purchases, we
also make a summary of the most where consumers prefer to shop.
1. Why shop by what means?
In the past, people used to have to go to stores to compare prices and clip paper
coupons to get good deals. Now, technology allows us to shop from home, but
we still have to shop around, read reviews and review the terms of offers.

• Amazon Mexico

It attracts a multitude of consumers with its multiple programs and promotions.


These include Amazon Prime and Amazon Cash, which were very well received
by Mexican customers.

• Walmart Mexico

It is the largest division of the U.S. retail giant. It has around 2,600 stores in the

Since its arrival in Mexico, Shein has been attracting customers all year round,
thanks to its focus on women's clothing at very affordable prices and items for
men, boys, accessories, shoes, bags and other fashion items.
• Homedepot Mexico

Offers all the products needed for home improvement, hardware, do-it-yourself
and building materials. You can browse their online catalog and purchase their
extensive variety of products for home improvement, appliances, bathrooms,
kitchen, hardware, garden, cleaning, construction materials, paints, flooring,
lighting, among others.

• Apple Inc. USA

It is one of the most recognized American companies today which designs and
produces electronic equipment, software and online services.

In the Apple online store users can find the variety of equipment they offer
including Mac, Ipad, Iphone, Watch, TV and music accessories. And from time to
time they activate promotions so that qualified buyers of the store receive
promotional discounts for some equipment.

• Amazon USA

Apart from its version for Mexico, the official U.S. site of this e-commerce
company is also ranked eighth in this top most popular eCommerce in Mexico.

Amazon is known as one of the first major companies to sell goods over the
Internet and with its popular slogan from A to Z, invites you to discover in its global
marketplace.

• Sams club

Wholesale stores are backed by Walmart and operate through a price club that
customers become members of.

• Elektra

It is a department store that offers various products covering different categories


such as electronics, computers, white goods, furniture, appliances, clothing,
home, among others. This site is very well valued by its users for the wide variety
it offers and of course has its website, which was also opened in the United
States, where they offer much of its catalog.

This is revealed by a study published in Get Elastic, a company that provides
solutions in electronic commerce.

The survey points out the things that Internet users expect to find in a good online
store.

• Price and shipping method (95.5%)

Every person who enters a buying and selling site does so with the aim of
acquiring a product, so the least he expects is that both the price and the shipping
method appear clearly established.

• Be credible and safe (76.5%)

No one likes paying for something they'll never get. That is why the credibility that
you can deliver to potential customers is important.

• A photo of the product on the main page (70.8%)

Everyone wants to know what they're buying, so they don't have any nasty
surprises once the product ships.

Once it is known that the user can buy their products in digital environments,
they must investigate what is driving them to make electronic purchases.

Let's not confuse that the determining element when carrying out a transaction in
a digital medium is focused on the product that you offer. It goes much further.
The economic reasons, the payment and after-sales strategy or how shipments
are made are, among others, some of the factors that influence the online

In short, the user's shopping experience largely determines the success or
failure of e-commerce. But you can always improve a website and draw the
attention of customers to buy the products.

The customer prefers the brand or company because it is easier and more
accessible for him, they evaluate your products to match their requirements.
However, customers commit to buy your product, by doing so customers decide
how they feel about your purchase.

Buying online allows you to make comparisons and investigate the prices of the
same product in different stores. So, you could save money. In addition, e-
commerce gives you the possibility to share information and reviews with other
buyers who have first-hand experience with a product or seller. In 2020, it was
estimated that more than 39% of the Mexican population purchased goods or
services online. Only three years earlier, in 2017, the percentage of digital buyers
in the North American country did not exceed 30%.

The medium that allows a person to communicate with a machine is known as a


user interface. The interface, in this case, is made up of the points of contact
between a user and the equipment.
CONCLUSIONS
As we well know, electronic commerce has a great presence in the world market,
and thanks to this, goods and services are provided to consumers. So we can
say that when buying a product online, consumers adopt a responsible posture
as they look for the best options to obtain their products.

For example, in an online purchase, they are based a lot on the prices and
prestige of the web page where they are purchasing their product, in the same
way, they are based a lot on the comments that the same people provide to the
page since this gives them more confidence when buying or they choose to look
for other alternatives if the comments are very negative.

The image and design on the website are very important as it attracts the
attention of consumers.
