Chiranjeevi Controversy
Anotherinterestingcaseof plagiarismwasfound in2007.Areputed professor
from Andhra Pradesh was put on trial for his plagiarised work.Professor
Chiranjeevi worked in the Chemistry department of Sri Venkateswara
University and published seventy-plus research papers in three years, i.e.
between 2004 and 2007. Most of his publications were not up to the mark
and full of unethical work. As a result, the University Executive Council
expelled him from the universitys post of examiner and PhD guide. The
university management cancelled all his promotions and administrative
posts.
