Impacts of Globalisation: Developed Vs Developing

Countries
Abstract
The purpose of this study will be to assess the impact of increasing
globalisation of the world economy over the last few decades on key
economic indicators in both developed and developing economies.
We will try to assess the impact of free trade policies and
liberalisation as prescribed by the IMF and World Bank on the
economic growth rates, Gini coefficients (measure of income
inequality), HDI, SDI of both advanced and developing economies.
We will collect the data mainly from secondary sources such as the
IMF website and the World Bank websites. The methodology we will
be using to assess the impact of globalisation would be constructing a
standard panel data regression model where economic
growth/SDI/Gini Coefficient will be the dependent variable and
volume of international trade/FDI will be the independent variable
and thus we will estimate whether the regression coefficients are
statistically significant or not.
