1. INTRODUCTION
Road safety is a sensitive concern for every individual Kenyan, the government
and investors in the motor transport industry. As much as it is the government’s
role to formulate rules and regulations to streamline the sector and enhance
road transport safety we feel as a company we can play a big role in road safety
enhancement initiatives. We therefore introduce to your esteemed organization
Powerfix® LED Warning Lights for Road Safety Enhancement.

2. BACKGROUND
Demand is growing for improved road safety initiatives both from individual road
users, road transport industry players and the government through the ministry
of transport and ministry of interior and national co-ordination. There is now a
worldwide recognition that, in the interests of road safety and improved industry
outcomes, the ability to unambiguously identify road safety devices is essential.
The development and implementation of LED Warning Lights is widely
acknowledged by the industry and regulators as an effective means of ensuring
timely warning mechanism to on-coming vehicles especially in the event of a
breakdown or wide load transportation.

The International Road Safety Device Regulators Forum (IRSDR) - a group of the
major road safety device regulators from around the world, including Australia
who have been working to advance and strengthen international road use and
safety device regulatory frameworks have affirmed and acknowledged the
positive impact of using LED Lights as road safety and warning device. Several
international road safety regulatory authorities and governments have already
implemented the LED Warning Lights gadgets, commenced work on
implementation, or introduced enabling legislation and we therefore believe the
Kenyan government through the ministry of transport and ministry of interior
can walk this noble path by embracing Powerfix® LED Warning Lights.

3. THIS CONSULTATION
We are exploring the feasibility of introducing the Powerfix® LED warning lights
as road safety measure for Africa and Kenya being the zenith of technology and
continent’s most prolific road transport country we choose to pilot this product in
Kenya. Powerfix® LED warning lights has had incredible success in other
domains.

The introduction of this product to the Kenyan market will impact many
stakeholders significantly, especially if Powerfix® LED warning lights is fully
integrated into the Kenyan transport system as a must carry safety gadget
alongside the first aid kit, the hazard triangle, the speed governors and safety
belts.
In recognition of this proposal’s broad impact, we plan to hold other
consultations on further aspects of the Powerfix® LED warning lights with other
relevant industry players, including more detailed discussion on the regulatory
requirements and seeking more targeted views on the impact of this product on
specific groups of stakeholders in the industry.

The founders are at an advanced stage of being the distributors of Powerfix

have done our research and thereafter the engagement in the LED Warning
Lights as a business line.

Our main product offering is the Powerfix® LED Warning Lights. The product
design meets the international safety requirements and standards. We will also
seek to have the product reviewed and approved by the Kenyan government
(Kenya Bureau of Standards).

Regarding talents as the fundamental foundation, the company will develop a

group of high-quality professional talents and an installation team. The Company
will seek to have bespoke technical support and a sound pricing system while
adhering to the operation principle of being professional, concentrated, service-
oriented and innovative.

Currently, the main business activities and operations are centered in the capital
and the surrounding environs but as an expansion and growth strategy, we will
extend our product and services to other major towns and counties beyond
Nairobi.
