Dominican Republic should not have a new province?

In the past few weeks, the Dominican Congress has argued about passing a law which
would create a new province, but is this really a good decision? The Dominican Republic
currently already has 31 provinces. Those trying to pass the law may have big plans for this new
province, but the chances that everything goes to plan are slim. The country already has a
problem with communication and assigning resources to its lesser-known provinces, creating a
new one will not solve that. The Dominican government should spend its time and money
solving already existing problems instead of creating new things.
