Maryknoll School of Lupon, Inc.

is at the frontier intellectual and academic discovery, producing a


number of graduates widening holistic excellence globally. The institution is focused on creating a
community that pursues diversity, builds inclusion, creates more equitable opportunities for learning
and a God-centered learning environment.

This school was founded by an American missionary, Fr. James Ferry, a Maryknoll Father in the 17 th of
March, 1960. The school was first named as St. Patrick’s High School and named it later as Maryknoll
High School of Lupon. It started with four classrooms and 115 students. Fr. Ferry himself was the first
school director and Miss Elisa Santos was the first Principal. Miss Santos ran the school for four years
and saw the first graduation of 31 students. On July of 1964, the Maryknoll Sisters assumed the
administration of the school. In 1978, the administration of Maryknoll High School of Lupon was handed
over to the Dominican Sisters of the Most Holy Rosary of the Philippines, with Sister Mary Epifania
Brasil, O.P. as principal. The current principal is Sr. Ma. Domitila Sendino, O.P.

The school has been committed to create and sustain the conditions that enable all Maryknollians to
experience an unparalleled educational journey that is intellectually, socially, and personally
transformative.

More than anything else, the Maryknollian students, alumni, faculty, and staff are committed on its
pursuit to make a difference. Also, the aims on living out its mission to uphold the virtue of truth
(Veritas) and its mantra, Deus Super Omnia (God Above All).
